FemFusion Fitness. Move like a lady.
Welcome! My name is Brianne Grogan. I am a women’s health physical therapist, an AFAA certified group fitness instructor, and the founder of FemFusion Fitness.
When I was in clinical practice as a physical therapist I treated hundreds of women with common problems such as incontinence and prolapse. It was a rewarding career and my clients were regularly shocked by the progress that could be made with just a few simple changes to their lifestyle and fitness routine. I heard patient after patient say, “if only I’d known about pelvic floor strengthening earlier!” and “I have to tell my friends about this — they have the same problems!”
After noting the need for open discussion and preventive education about pelvic floor health and wellness I decided to forge a new path through which I could reach a broader audience. In October 2009 I launched FemFusion Fitness. FemFusion Fitness is a unique group exercise class for women that fuses dance, standing balance work, deep muscle recruitment, brief bouts of high intensity intervals, and focused mat exercises. The purpose of FemFusion Fitness is to strengthen the entire body with a special focus on the core. The goal of every class is for participants to leave feeling sexy, confident, feminine, and strong. Side perks include weight loss, lifted buttocks, sculpted legs, and a taut tummy.
My family and I moved to Germany in December 2010. This allowed me to expand my FemFusion venture (and adventures!) overseas. Currently, I teach FemFusion Fitness group exercise classes at Grace Studio in Einsiedlerhof, Germany. I will be expanding to teach classes on US military installations in the Kaiserslautern Military Community in early 2012.
Modern society is largely sedentary and getting more so every day. A remedy is needed to alleviate back pain, stiff joints, weakness, and uniquely female concerns related to weakness of the inner core. FemFusion Fitness is that remedy. FemFusion Fitness helps women remember how to “move like a lady” and reconnect with the muscles of their inner core to prevent or improve incontinence, prolapse, and sexuality without surgery or medication. My hope is to reach women before they need a referral to a medical doctor or a women’s health physical therapist!
Note: Although I am a licensed physical therapist, the services I provide through FemFusion Fitness group fitness classes are not considered physical therapy treatment. Through FemFusion Fitness, I use my expertise and experience as a women’s health physical therapist as the foundation from which I provide fitness instruction and wellness coaching. This sets me apart from fitness instructors or trainers who serve a broader audience. I work primarily with women who wish to protect or enhance the muscles of their pelvic floor and core. I do not evaluate or diagnose specific pathologies or medical conditions. If you need specialized physical therapy treatment, please seek care from an appropriate medical provider.
